F1 2024 Game Review! Another epic failure by EA/Codemasters

Image
Why F1 2024 Is Not Worth Your Money – A Review When EA bought Codemasters, many fans, myself included, approached it with cautious optimism. Sure, there were sceptics, but there was hope that EA’s resources could elevate the F1 franchise. Unfortunately, even optimism has its limits, and for me—and many others—that breaking point has arrived. Ironically, this feels fitting given the “Breaking Point” story mode introduced in EA’s first F1 game, F1 2021 . Back in 2021, I rated F1 21 13.5 points out of 30 in my grading system, which ranges from A-F. Today, I’m going to put F1 2024 under the same scrutiny and explain why it simply isn’t worth parting with £50 or more of your hard-earned money. Scoring System  A** 25-30 B** 20-24 C** 15-19 D** 10-14 E** 5-9 C** 0-4 Career Mode: 2 out of 5 While there’s been a slight improvement in career mode this year, it’s far from revolutionary. As F1 YouTuber Tom97 pointed out, the career mode feels lifeless after just two seasons. You get ...

Three things we learned from the Hungarian GrandPrix 2023, RedBull breaks record that stood for 35 years!!!

Image
So we are half way now through the F1 2023 season and okay Hungary won’t be a race that’ll live in the memory from a racing spectacle point of view however from a historical standpoint and for some other reasons for McLaren it’ll be a race hundred percent that RedBull, Max, Norris and McLaren will certainly all be chuffed about.  Here are three things we learned Hungary 2023.  RedBull and Max starting to break records!   Now we knew this season is already about Max and that RB19 but whilst RedBull been dominant, to break a record that has stood for 35 years is simply admirable. And you have to question when? Where? And who? Is going to stop them? Even in the races where you’d think they’ve struggled a bit more but they’ve still managed to find a way through and ultimately Vettel’s record of nine race wins in a row is in serious threat of being either matched or broken altogether!!  And in F1 unlike football it’s a lot harder to build these race winning streaks especi...

Three things we learned from 2023 British GrandPrix? Oscar Piastri is a star of the future!

Image
Silverstone that was an interesting one, we had sun, rain, clouds, competition, chaos and Max reigning supreme ALL IN ONE. I thoroughly enjoyed watched the 2023 British GrandPrix, some might say it was like watching a movie, ironic that is because the was actually movie shooting going on for the new film coming soon I think in 2025 or 2026 it’ll be, but it’s nice to see how Hollywood comes to F1 and F1 produces It’s best race and action that we’ve had all year so far. But here’s three or this week four things we’ve learned from the British GrandPrix. Oscar Piastri is a star of the future! Now in 2023 we’ve got ourselves three new rookies on the grid, AlphaTauri Nyck De Vries, Williams Logan Sargeant and finally McLaren Oscar Piastri and so far all three of them up to this point for various reasons have been pretty tricky to gauge where they truly are and that can be put down to many different reason and none more so then not having had the nicest of cars to drive but since McLaren up...

Three things we learned from the 2023 Austrian GrandPrix! Track Limits gone wild? Max Driver of the Day?

Image
So the Austrian GrandPrix weekend was you know both the sprint and main race a very good GrandPrix overall weekend, one I thoroughly enjoyed with action both in the main event and in the Sprint, it was good in comparison to the last sprint we had which was at Baku, this race is certainly been on earth of the better races in 2023 so far in what’s been relatively a season of dominance for Max Verstappen and RedBull but nonetheless it didn’t spoil us from having a race that was one full of intrigue. And here’s three things that we learned.  Track limits gone wild?  Now one of the may criticisms of F1 this weekend was just how many times the was track limit infringements! In fact the was that many it kind of turned into a meme.  Just to remind you of what and who got penalties, I’ll go through them now. Sainz - 10 seconds Hamilton - 10 seconds Gasly - 10 seconds Albon - 10 seconds Ocon - 30 seconds Sargeant - 10 seconds De Vries - 15 seconds Tsunoda - 5 seconds So a lot of p...

Three things we learned from the CanadianGP? AstonMartin and Mercedes close the gap meanwhile De Vries seat at risk!!!

Image
Well Canadian GrandPrix was a interesting affair all weekend actually, Qualifying was good, free practice was decent and the race was closer than usual compared to other grandprix we've seen this year. Overall this certainly will be one of the memorable races potentially of the 2023 season. But here are three takeaways The gap to RedBull might be closing. Look it’s one race I know and probably shouldn’t be getting my hopes up too soon and would advise also others from similar but in terms of the gap to the rest of the field RedBull didn’t enjoy this weekend as per usual a 20 second or 30 second advantage like we’ve seen before. Pure pace wise and it was a genuine race and challenge for RedBull. Both the AstonMartin and Mercedes of Alonso and Hamilton was there in the background for a large portion of the Grand Prix and is this a sign of the upgrades paying off for Mercedes and AstonMartin with the gap starting to shrink? Well honestly yes, it certainly could be a very good indica...

F1 23 game review!!! Is it worth your cash?

Image
So F1 23 and today blog I am going to review F1 23 and give my honest opinion upon it and has it delivered? Now a few year ago for F1 2021 I did the exact same thing as I am going to do today. I will score the game upon each segment of the game with a score of 0 to 5 and then total them up which should give us a grade at the end.  The grades are  A - 25 to 20,  B - 19 to 15, C - 14 to 10, D - 9  to 5 and E 4 to 0!   Also a few years ago I also predicted and want to the the downfall of the F1 game series. And in that I said “ Now yes 2020 does have more reviews but if trends kept going the way they’re going well that could be below even 2.5 rating for codemasters! That would be significantly low!”   And F1 22 met my prediction with google reviews giving the game a mediocre 2.4!  So was I right? I don’t take pride in saying so however I did predict this and did say it at the time.  And that was back on F1 2021! Which on google reviews scored an 3.1...
