Why I hope for Honda to win the championship of F1 in 2021!

Why I want Mercedes to fail more badly now than ever! Look 👀 I support all 20 drivers, all 10 teams with the exception of Nikitia Mazespin of course! But jokes aside I’m writing this piece today explaining why I want Mercedes and Hamilton to fail more badly now than ever before....

Now I don’t wish any ill fate to Hamilton and to any of the 20 drivers that get into one of these machines as let’s not forget the dangers of motorsport still linger more than ever before. Grosjean crash at the 2020 Bahrain GrandPrix was a stark reminder of that and the dangers these gentlemen face in order to win at the pinnacle of motorsports! And whilst I want to see a great titanic championship battle but I sincerely hope Mercedes for once crack under the pressure and that RedBull can win the 2021 not just constructors but driver’s championships. 

Why? Why do I want RedBull to win? I want RedBull to win simply because of one word and that word is HONDA! Honda at the end of 2021 will be as many folks are well aware will be departing F1. And looking back at where they where at start of 2015 when they rejoined our F1 grid honestly the number of mechanical breakdowns they suffered was beyond belief... Alonso and McLaren struggled to score pts let alone finish races! And those times at McLaren didn’t help with 3 gruesome season from 2015 to 2017! 2018 saw a slight improvement from the Japanese manufacturer and suddenly light at the end of the tunnel and in 2019 those developments grew. Whilst in 2020 things didn’t completely click but and however Honda was still impressive picking not just wins up with the senior team but also the sister team AlphaTauri. 

And fast forward once again to 2021 to see that remarkable improvement from where they’ve come to now where they’ve ended up really does impress me. 

Honda have come through the fire, the diversity and hard times and pretty much have created the one of the best current engines if not the best engine in F1 on our current grid! And let’s reflect again on the struggles, the hardship and sacrifice Honda and Honda engineers have given in order to reach this point. It’s remarkable how far Honda have come since 2015 I think ultimately yes Mercedes 7 constructors and 7 drivers championships in the hybrid era is the ultimate story but the next best is Honda. Honda never gave up, kept pushing and to me that symbolism of never giving in or up is exactly what F1 is about. They fought through thick and thin so if they where to win the F1 2021 title this season would be a incredible story and way to bow out of Formula One. 

Of course as I said I hope we’ll get a titanic battle as well one that will be jaw dropping but I also hope that it’s written in the stars ⭐️ and that RedBull and Honda will deliver the Holy Grail of achievements this season in F1.

It’s time to go.

It’s time to go! Those where the famous words of Arsenal fan, AFTV legend Claude Callegari. Now okay I’m not sure if Claude was a Formula One fan but I think had of been he’d agree with what I’m about to say. Bottas, It’s time to go.  Either Mercedes needs to make the decision or Bottas needs to step back and away from F1. In fact if I was Bottas I’d take a sabbatical for at least the remaining races in 2021! If Mercedes wants to maintain the Constructors championship they’re gonna need two world class drivers week in and week out. If you look Bottas season so far it’s by far his worst start to his Mercedes career and ultimately he looks emotionally done. Now I’m not saying Mercedes needs to react quicker than buzz lightening but if Mercedes don’t react or don’t put someone new and hungry in that second Mercedes seat whilst I believe they could win one of the other championships but I don’t believe they’ll have the capability to win two championships such as the WDC or WCC.  M...

Three things we learned from 2023 British GrandPrix? Oscar Piastri is a star of the future!

​ Silverstone that was an interesting one, we had sun, rain, clouds, competition, chaos and Max reigning supreme ALL IN ONE. I thoroughly enjoyed watched the 2023 British GrandPrix, some might say it was like watching a movie, ironic that is because the was actually movie shooting going on for the new film coming soon I think in 2025 or 2026 it’ll be, but it’s nice to see how Hollywood comes to F1 and F1 produces It’s best race and action that we’ve had all year so far. But here’s three or this week four things we’ve learned from the British GrandPrix. Oscar Piastri is a star of the future!
